Home of Chinook Wind Registered French and American Alpine Dairy Goats
We have been raising Alpine dairy goats on our farm outside Wasilla, Alaska since 2000. Our foundation doe was a rescued Alpine named Sprite that we got in trade for seven bales of hay. Our goats have come a long way in the past decade with the addition of some fine bloodlines from notable herds in the lower 48, but Sprite’s memory and influence live on in her daughters and granddaughters, whose show wins include Grand Champion, Best Udder in Show, and even a Best Doe In Show! Our goats have gone from being a part-time hobby to becoming a huge part of our lives. A dozen milkers keep our goat shareowners supplied with milk year-round, and with kids being born from February to June there is seldom a dull moment at the farm. Three Maremma LGD’s live with the herd full-time, and keep watch over the premises.
